Description

  • Design, implement, and scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Build and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
  • Operate Cloud Run and Kubernetes in production at scale.
  • Architect and manage cloud networking, including VPCs, load balancers, firewalls, routing, and service meshes.
  • Embed security best practices across infrastructure, deployments, and platform tooling.
  • Design, build, and maintain internal developer tooling that improves delivery speed, code quality, and reliability.
  • Own the CI/CD pipeline for automated testing, safe deployments, and fast feedback loops.
  • Improve local development workflows and maintain parity between development and production environments.
  • Own observability systems, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
  • Drive improvements in platform performance, resilience, cost efficiency, time-to-deploy, and MTTR.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Cloud Run.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and microservices.
  • Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
  • Strong background in observability, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages for automation and tooling.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and secure delivery practices.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills across infrastructure, platforms, and build pipelines.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others ship faster with confidence.
  • Based in Melbourne is highly preferred for in-person collaboration and brainstorming.
  • Experience with developer portals or internal platform tooling is nice to have.
  • Background in platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps is nice to have.
  • Experience supporting production-grade, multi-tenant SaaS platforms is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with secure software supply chains and build provenance is nice to have.
  • Experience with Linux systems is nice to have.
  • Exposure to ERP integrations or financial systems is nice to have.
