Description

  • Perform basic diagnosis, repairs, adjustments, and component or product exchanges on retail and SMB equipment.
  • Install, relocate, discontinue, configure, upgrade, modify, and refurbish retail POS equipment.
  • Travel to customer locations and manage service events to meet quality, timing, and customer service commitments.
  • Communicate work status, issues, and resolutions with customers, management, peers, and team members.
  • Plan and prioritize service activities and arrange travel using approved company systems.
  • Document installations, service calls, mileage, timecards, travel, and expenses according to company standards.
  • Maintain trunk stock and required parts inventory to support customers.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 2+ years of experience in an electronics field.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers, network infrastructure, POS equipment, cash registers, scanners, kiosks, printers, monitors, and related retail devices.
  • Mechanical aptitude and competency in electricity, electronics, test equipment, electric meters, and basic hand tools.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair IT signal and power cables and low-voltage wiring systems.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong customer service, multitasking, prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally with minimal supervision after training.
  • Availability for 100% domestic travel, including regular air travel, varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and long hours as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, twisting, ladder, and lift activities.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration or work visa sponsorship.
