Description

  • Improve site reliability by designing fault-tolerant mechanisms and architectures.
  • Integrate observability automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Handle production incidents, communicate with clients, and draft root cause analysis documents.
  • Monitor production system performance and improve scaling to meet SLA and SLO targets.
  • Advise application development teams on reliability improvements and support implementation.
  • Improve observability through logging, metrics, and alert reduction to reduce toil.
  • Implement and regularly run chaos engineering practices to test system reliability.
  • Set direction for site reliability aligned with client goals, including high availability needs.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams on technical and business requirements.
  • Contribute to infrastructure and operational improvements using Terraform and cloud reliability practices.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Good understanding of Azure.
  • Experience with network and security concepts.
  • Exposure to observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps practices.
  • Good knowledge of container-based architecture and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Docker Swarm, or Nomad.
  • Understanding of modern architecture patterns including microservices, serverless functions, NoSQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to work under pressure during production incidents and solve difficult-to-debug issues.
  • Willingness to be part of a rotation-based, need-based 24x7 available team.
