Description

Improve fault tolerance and maintainability across proprietary data pipelines and trading systems.
Diagnose and fix bugs in production code.
Lead and support complex deployments.
Automate manual operational workflows.
Track, prioritize, and resolve outstanding production-related issues.
Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to incidents and keep critical systems running.
Collaborate with software engineers and production operations teammates to improve shared infrastructure and team-owned systems.
Monitor and manage production-critical infrastructure and data pipelines to reduce operational risk and improve engineering efficiency.

Requirements

2 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with coding and debugging in Python.
Experience working with Linux.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong technical communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
A growth mindset and passion for learning.
An undergraduate degree or comparable training in a quantitative field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Preferred: familiarity with code maintainability, documentation, quality assurance, continuous integration, and deployment best practices.
Preferred: experience supporting production systems.
Preferred: experience with gRPC microservices, Postgres, Pandas, Golang, R, Git, Jenkins, Bazel, Prometheus, Grafana, Airflow, or Kubernetes.

Base salary of $120,000 to $160,000 depending on location and other factors.
