Description

  • Conduct client interviews and explain procedural requirements for U-Certs and related visa filings.
  • Prepare forms, petitions, and supporting documents accurately and in compliance with immigration laws.
  • Research relevant immigration laws, policies, and regulations to support case preparation.
  • File applications with government agencies according to procedural requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage case files, track deadlines, and organize client information throughout the immigration process.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates and procedural questions.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, scheduling, and document management.
  • Monitor changes in immigration laws and policies to maintain case compliance.
  • Develop legal knowledge through training, research, and collaboration with team members.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in immigration law, including non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings such as U-Certs and USCIS petitions.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency in written and spoken communication.
  • Previous experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in another legal role.
  • Familiarity with family-based petitions, humanitarian visas, EOIR procedures, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS applications preferred.
  • Experience using case management software and legal tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple case-related tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
