Description

  • Support TrevorSpace users with general site functions and day-to-day community management tasks.
  • Approve user clubs, process account deletions, and respond to users on the platform.
  • Review flagged users and content to help keep the community safe, useful, and affirming.
  • Apply TrevorSpace community guidelines to evaluate potential policy violations.
  • Monitor content for emerging risks and send digital resources to users expressing suicidal ideation.
  • Document user feedback, suggestions, and conversation trends to improve the community.
  • Ensure activity is documented and reported according to protocol.
  • Submit timely reports and make required calls to law enforcement, child protective services, NCMEC, and other agencies.
  • Work with emergency services to provide support to youth in crisis.
  • Facilitate user discussions when appropriate and collaborate across the organization, including with crisis services.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required; the company will not sponsor a work visa.
  • Ability to work overnight hours on a 5-day schedule that includes at least one weekend day.
  • Remote work must be performed from the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii.
  • Experience managing online communities with a focus on harm reduction and user safety.
  • Experience with online content moderation.
  • Experience understanding and implementing online trust & safety policies.
  • Experience submitting reports to law enforcement, NCMEC, and child protective services.
  • Proven collaborator who approaches work and interactions with empathy and inclusion.
  • Proven ability to listen and respond to develop mutual understanding.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
