Description

  • Manage TrevorSpace operations, including approving clubs, processing account deletions, and responding to users.
  • Review flagged users and content for safety and community guideline violations.
  • Apply TrevorSpace policies consistently to maintain a safe, affirming community.
  • Monitor emerging risks, provide digital resources to users expressing suicidal ideation, and coordinate support for youth in crisis.
  • Document activity, user feedback, trends, and required reports according to established protocols.
  • Submit timely reports and referrals to law enforcement, child protective services, NCMEC, and other agencies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with crisis services, emergency services, and internal teams to evaluate and respond to at-risk content.
  • Facilitate user discussions and respond to inquiries within required timelines.
  • Work non-standard hours in a 24/7/365 operation, including at least one weekend day each week.Notes: Handle content involving suicide, self-injury, violence, exploitation, harassment, hate speech, sexual solicitation, cybersecurity, and protection of minors.

Requirements

  • Experience managing online communities with a focus on harm reduction and user safety.
  • Experience with online content moderation.
  • Experience implementing online trust and safety policies.
  • Experience submitting reports to law enforcement, NCMEC, and child protective services.
  • Strong collaboration skills with an empathetic and inclusive approach.
  • Ability to listen and respond effectively to build mutual understanding.
  • Proven planning, problem-solving, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Authorization to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Availability for a five-day workweek that includes at least one weekend day.
  • Commitment to LGBTQ+ competency, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
