Description

  • Develop and execute a portfolio-wide resident wellness and student success strategy aligned with company goals and resident experience priorities.
  • Set goals, metrics, and accountability measures for resident well-being, engagement, belonging, retention, and community success.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with university, healthcare, crisis-response, and community organizations.
  • Create resource maps, referral pathways, and escalation protocols to connect residents with appropriate support.
  • Support parent and family engagement while preserving resident privacy, autonomy, and legal compliance.
  • Design and oversee a resident wellness curriculum covering transition to college, belonging, resilience, academic pressure, financial well-being, roommate relationships, substance misuse awareness, mental health literacy, crisis resources, and life skills.
  • Partner with Marketing and Operations to create resident communications and increase participation in wellness initiatives.
  • Develop peer-connection programs such as resident ambassadors, peer mentors, and wellness champions.
  • Evaluate and pilot technology-enabled and community-based tools that improve belonging, engagement, and access to support services.
  • Create and deliver a portfolio-wide wellness training strategy for General Managers, regional leaders, security personnel, and support teams.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to build wellness awareness, documentation, resource connection, boundaries, and response protocols into training.
  • Work with Security, Legal & Risk Management, and Operations to establish compliant standards for resident concerns, wellness checks, escalation, and after-hours coordination.
  • Provide strategic guidance during major wellness incidents and coordinate with appropriate university, emergency, healthcare, law-enforcement, or licensed professional resources.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to track engagement, incidents, training adoption, partnership effectiveness, and readiness while protecting resident privacy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and cross-functional partners on wellness-related policies, communications, and operating practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in student affairs, student success, wellness, behavioral health administration, public health, higher education, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, Psychology, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Public Health, Social Work, Organizational Development, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building university, healthcare, community, and internal partnerships.
  • Experience developing enterprise-wide programs, training, and scalable operating frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of college-age populations, student development, resident engagement, privacy, confidentiality, crisis escalation, and professional boundaries.
  • Experience in student housing, residential life, higher education, public health, counseling-services administration, or student success environments is strongly preferred.
  • Licensed clinical credentials may be helpful but are not required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
