Description

  • Lead and mentor a global team of video producers and freelance editors.
  • Oversee full lifecycle production across multiple video formats, including budgeting, onboarding, post-production, and distribution.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow content performance across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, The Athletic app, and The New York Times.
  • Define and maintain consistent visual and editorial standards across all video series.
  • Partner with commercial and revenue teams to execute sponsorship integrations and support monetization goals.
  • Track performance data and use insights to improve content and business outcomes.
  • Own creative direction and operational execution for major tent-pole events such as the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, and Drafts.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging video technologies, AI tools, and data visualization software into workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, talent, teams, and external partners across multiple shows and regions.
  • Jump into hands-on production work when needed, including filming, livestreaming, editing, and pilot launches.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in video or social content creation.
  • Proven success scaling audiences for a sports network, digital media brand, or agency.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Basic field filming skills to guide the team and execute pilots.
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms, content formats, and algorithmic trends.
  • Strong editorial judgment and commitment to journalistic standards.
  • Experience working across multiple shows, series, stakeholders, and talent.
  • Ability to work around sports events, games, and breaking news.
  • Experience in podcast series, social media, or broadcast television is welcome.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution.

  • Annual base salary of $90,000 to $105,000 USD.
