Description

  • Develop and close new business opportunities through existing industry relationships and targeted sales efforts.
  • Lead the development and delivery of client proposals and presentations.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop strategic selling approaches that address client risks, execution concerns, and stakeholder issues.
  • Partner with project managers and clients to support successful project delivery from initiation through completion.
  • Monitor existing and proposed regulations affecting public, private, and industrial waterfront facilities.
  • Contribute to market strategy, strategic planning, and growth initiatives.
  • Provide technical and project management leadership for turnkey and design-build opportunities.
  • Mentor and coach team members to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a similar technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of engineering consulting experience in the public or private sector.
  • Experience with marine, waterfront, coastal, dredging, and/or resiliency projects.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
  • Location in the Northeast or Southeast United States, or the Bay Area, California.
  • 15+ years of engineering consulting experience (preferred).
  • Demonstrated business development success in the ports, harbors, infrastructure, or dredging market (preferred).
  • Proven ability to develop, retain, and manage client relationships (preferred).
  • Technical leadership or project management experience on complex, multidisciplinary projects, including design calculations, site plans, construction drawings, specifications, and technical deliverables (preferred).
  • Experience developing design-build project opportunities (preferred).
