Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain functional mobile test automation for Android and/or iOS modules using platform-native frameworks and the team’s mobile testing framework.
  • Build and maintain Page Object Models (POMs), test utilities, and reusable support libraries for mobile test suites.
  • Write, execute, and maintain end-to-end test cases for Savings, Direct Deposit, Balance, and Cash‑In product flows.
  • Integrate and use API mocking and record/replay tools (e.g., WireMock Cloud) to support reliable testing of backend interactions.
  • Work inside a mono-repo architecture to resolve dependency conflicts (e.g., Hilt/Dagger), maintain framework stability, and manage large-repo test code.
  • Execute cross-device regression and functional tests via BrowserStack and run tests in CI/CD pipelines (Harness or similar).
  • Collaborate with development teams on accessibility identifiers, feature flagging (Statsig/UCP+), testability improvements, and defect resolution.
  • Participate in Agile rituals including sprint planning, daily standups, and weekly Oslo Readiness Syncs to align on quality goals and release readiness.
  • Contribute to and validate GenAI-assisted test generation workflows, including reviewing and refining AI-generated test cases.
  • Document test coverage, blockers, and progress in Jira and Confluence and report defects promptly while driving issues to resolution with developers.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in a QA/Testing engineer or SDET role.
  • Hands-on experience with Android test automation using Kotlin and frameworks such as Espresso and/or UI Automator (required).
  • Proficiency with Page Object Model design patterns and mobile test framework architecture.
  • Experience with dependency injection in Android test contexts (Hilt/Dagger) and resolving related dependency conflicts.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and executing tests in cloud-based environments (BrowserStack, Harness, or similar).
  • Strong experience with Git workflows in large mono-repos, including branching, rebasing, and pull request reviews.
  • Ability to take ownership of work areas and deliver independently with minimal supervision in a distributed, async-first team across time zones.
  • Excellent written communication skills for asynchronous collaboration across multiple time zones.
  • Experience in e-commerce and fintech domains (product-area familiarity preferred).
  • Nice-to-have: iOS automation experience (Swift, XCUITest); familiarity with API mocking tools (WireMock, MockServer); exposure to Bazel build systems, feature flag testing strategies, AI/ML-assisted test generation or prompt engineering, and accessibility testing on mobile platforms.
