Description

  • Lead development and implementation of a responsive web application using React.
  • Implement UI designs (including 3.0 designs) using provided designs and mapping documentation and build MVP designs as a new React app/repo.
  • Connect the React UI to existing decoupled APIs (assets, rooms, locations, alerts) and collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and test data.
  • Drive frontend architecture decisions, set and enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into technically feasible, functional code.
  • Support beta deployments, address bug fixes, and iterate on features based on user and stakeholder feedback.
  • Implement and oversee unit, integration, and performance tests and ensure cross-browser compatibility and application optimization.
  • Participate in system design discussions and contribute scalable, user-focused solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for front-end design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues promptly and communicate contextual trade-offs between frameworks and stacks.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent relevant experience demonstrating competency.
  • 6+ years of experience in front-end development.
  • Proficiency in React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with other frontend frameworks/libraries such as Angular or Vue.js.
  • Familiarity with web development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and frontend best practices.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing for front-end applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with ALM/productivity tools for team collaboration (e.g., Jira).
  • Ability to understand and communicate contextual differences and trade-offs for various frameworks and stacks.
