Description

  • Own the lifecycle management of VMware ESXi/vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize high-availability clusters across VMware HA/DRS and Hyper-V Failover Clustering.
  • Perform hypervisor patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, and virtual machine performance tuning.
  • Administer Veeam Backup & Replication, including backup strategy, restore validation, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Define and maintain RPO/RTO targets, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot enterprise networking components, including firewalls, routing, switching, and VLAN architecture.
  • Maintain secure IT/OT segmentation and support patch compliance and vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for infrastructure incidents and lead root cause analysis after outages or service degradation.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, storage health, and capacity, and proactively mitigate operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, SOPs, and documentation.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support scheduled plant outage maintenance windows and off-hours deployments.

Requirements

  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.
  • 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, including Failover Clustering and Live Migration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking, including firewalling, switching, VLANs, and routing fundamentals.
  • Experience managing high-availability production systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and network layers.
  • Experience participating in on-call escalation rotations.
  • Strong documentation and operational discipline.
  • Preferred experience supporting SCADA, industrial, or regulated environments.
  • Preferred familiarity with NERC CIP or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Preferred experience with SAN/NAS storage technologies.
  • Preferred scripting experience, especially PowerShell.
  • Preferred experience with cloud and hybrid deployments.
  • Preferred automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience supporting hybrid IT/OT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and OPC-UA is preferred.

  • Base salary of $100,000–$130,000 DOE.
