Description

  • Own the production incident management lifecycle, including alert triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Monitor system performance, application logs, and resource health using observability platforms such as Observe by Snowflake.
  • Maintain, patch, secure, and operate legacy GCP virtual machines.
  • Manage MySQL 5.7 operations, including backups, connection pool issues, locking problems, and database health.
  • Design, provision, and scale modern cloud infrastructure using services such as Cloud SQL and BigQuery.
  • Automate manual operational processes with Bash scripts and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Support enterprise security compliance through OS hardening, access controls, and vulnerability patching.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders during outages, migrations, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, SRE, or infrastructure operations in an enterprise environment.
  • Deep Linux administration, performance tuning, storage, file system, and ZFS experience.
  • Production experience running, tuning, and debugging Java/Tomcat applications.
  • Strong MySQL 5.7 experience, including query tuning, replication, backup/restore, and migration troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Bash or shell scripting and lightweight automation.
  • Practical Google Cloud Platform experience, including Cloud SQL and BigQuery.
  • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerized environments.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and modern CI/CD deployment workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, methodical approach to incident response.
  • Familiarity with Java development and legacy-to-cloud-native migrations preferred.
