Description

  • Drive all phases of software development, including requirements analysis, architecture/design, implementation, documentation, testing, and debugging.
  • Collaborate with product owners and designers to translate user needs, wireframes, and requirements into technical specifications and architecture.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain APIs, microservices, event streams, and queues using Go and related backend technologies.
  • Write automated tests for all code and apply Behavior Driven Development practices.
  • Use Serverless Framework to write infrastructure as code.
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to code quality and team standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to other team members.
  • Create technical documentation explaining architecture decisions.
  • Support secure data practices and implement standards needed to meet HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience/software development certification (including bootcamp).
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Professional experience with cloud-native applications/products on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with AWS preferred.
  • Professional experience with Go/Golang, or with React and TypeScript.
  • Ability to communicate designs and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA to clarify and refine requirements.
  • Professional experience using modern version control systems such as Git and tools like Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Experience working in a startup environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and HL7 standards such as FHIR (preferred).
  • Experience writing infrastructure as code using Serverless Framework (preferred).
  • Experience with graph data modeling using Ent, event streaming frameworks like EventBridge, or gRPC/Twirp (preferred).
  • AWS certification(s) (preferred).
