Description

  • Drive all phases of software development, including requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, documentation, testing, and debugging.
  • Collaborate with product owners and designers to translate user needs, wireframes, and requirements into technical designs.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems using Go and related technologies.
  • Write automated tests for all code and apply Behavior Driven Development practices.
  • Write infrastructure as code using Serverless Framework.
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to code quality and engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to other team members.
  • Create technical documentation to explain architecture decisions.
  • Support secure data practices and implementation efforts to meet HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience/software development certification.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Professional experience with cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with AWS preferred, or experience with Go/Golang, or experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Ability to communicate designs and work with product managers, engineers, and QA to refine requirements.
  • Professional experience with modern version control systems such as Git and tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Experience working in a startup environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and HL7 standards such as FHIR is preferred.
  • Experience writing infrastructure as code with Serverless Framework is preferred.
  • Experience with graph data modeling using Ent is preferred.
  • Experience with event streaming frameworks such as EventBridge is preferred.
  • Experience with gRPC/Twirp is preferred.
  • AWS certification(s) are preferred.
