Description

  • Ingest, transform, and warehouse healthcare-related data from various sources to support analytics and ML/AI workflows.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/data pipelines and data models to support data warehouses and analytics solutions.
  • Develop tools and solutions for data integration, data warehousing, and data modeling to streamline data engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Business Intelligence Analysts to ensure efficient, reliable data processing and analysis.
  • Optimize data infrastructure and processes for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation, data lineage, and data quality practices.
  • Support Data Engineers and Data Scientists in preparing and validating data for model training, experimentation, and deployment.
  • Stay current with and evaluate emerging data, AI, and healthcare technologies to drive innovation and improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/data pipelines.
  • Proficient coding experience in Python or Scala with a focus on data processing.
  • Experience using Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala).
  • Experience with AWS data stack (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, etc.).
  • Experience with data and entity-relationship modeling to support data warehouses and analytics solutions.
  • Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Comfortable working with unstructured and semi-structured data (including web scraping).
  • Experience working in professional software environments with source control (git), issue trackers (JIRA, Confluence), CI, code reviews, and agile development (Scrum/Lean).
  • Basic data privacy and security principles and an interest/experience supporting AI/ML model development or deployment workflows.
  • Proactive interest in exploring emerging AI and data science technologies.
