Description

  • Collaborate with prospects to determine whether their applications are a strong fit for Temporal’s platform.
  • Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
  • Position Temporal against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
  • Help customer engineering teams adopt and expand Temporal in production environments.
  • Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute account plans.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers at customer organizations.
  • Serve as a strategic technical advisor on scoping, sizing, technical fit, and implementation challenges.
  • Provide design, development, build, and deployment guidance for application prototypes.
  • Advise on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
  • Support customer conversations through presenting, whiteboarding, and technical writing.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the Mountain or Pacific time zones.
  • Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
  • Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
  • Experience building application prototypes and providing technical guidance for design, development, build, and deployment.
  • Proficiency with one or more of Temporal’s supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.
  • Strong understanding of production operational concerns, including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with common application development and production services.
  • Ability to provide insightful advice on architectural topics and technical fit for customers.
  • Experience supporting Sales Account Executives on scoping and sizing opportunities.
  • Preferred consideration for candidates with broader cloud and distributed systems expertise.

  • Estimated base salary of $250,000 - $300,000.
  • 70/30 base salary and variable compensation split.
