Description

  • Represent Temporal at conferences, meetups, and workshops with talks on reliability, state, and orchestration in agentic systems.
  • Create high-quality technical content for AI engineers and backend developers, including blogs, tutorials, guides, talks, and videos.
  • Build relationships with AI framework maintainers, open-source communities, and ecosystem partners.
  • Gather feedback from AI engineers and channel it back to Product and Engineering to improve the roadmap and developer experience.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to align content and community engagement with AI releases and go-to-market efforts.
  • Contribute to Temporal's AI strategy and roadmap as a senior individual contributor.
  • Informally mentor peers and help raise the team’s AI engineering expertise.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, most recently as an AI engineer focused on production systems.
  • Proven track record of shipping AI products or features to production.
  • Demonstrable visibility in the AI engineering community through a blog, YouTube channel, podcast, open-source project, social following, or frequent conference speaking.
  • Strong record of technical talks and writing that establishes credibility with aspiring AI engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with production AI tools and patterns, including LLMs and agents, retrieval-augmented generation, function calling, evaluation and observability, and inference in real systems.
  • Working knowledge of AI agent frameworks and major model-provider APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript is preferred, with polyglot language flexibility welcome.
  • Curiosity and up-to-date knowledge of rapidly evolving AI research and tooling.
  • Experience carrying the pager for production AI systems is preferred.
  • Experience building or contributing to AI agent frameworks or toolkits is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Temporal, especially for building AI products or features, is preferred.
  • Open-source contributions or stewardship in AI or distributed systems communities are preferred.
  • Prior experience in Developer Relations or Developer Advocacy is preferred.
