Description

  • Own modeling strategy, coordination workflows, and delivery quality across assigned projects.
  • Produce accurate Revit models, drawings, calculations, and documentation with minimal oversight.
  • Lead BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, issue documentation, and conflict resolution or escalation.
  • Maintain model health by managing links, worksets, families, warnings, view templates, and model organization.
  • Support early engineering work such as system layouts, product research, calculations, specifications, and design development.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project leads, production staff, and cross-discipline teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
  • Estimate effort, sequence work, manage task priorities, and provide input on level of effort and resource needs.
  • Participate in project, discipline, engineering, production, and coordination meetings and produce clear notes and updates.
  • Guide Designer I and II team members through modeling, documentation, coordination, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute documentation updates, standards refinements, and GitHub pull requests that improve workflows and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent technical/field experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the AEC industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across multiple projects.
  • Experience with coordination processes or field-related activities.
  • Preferred experience delivering technology system designs in Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, or similar disciplines.
  • Preferred experience supporting engineering tasks such as calculations, device layouts, and specification development.
  • Preferred experience leading BIM coordination, including clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline resolution.
  • Ability to maintain model health at a senior production level, including workset management, view template application, warning resolution, and model cleanup.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
  • Industry certifications preferred but not required, including EIT, CDT, CTS (AV), RCDD (Telecom), PSP/CPP (Security), or PE.
