Description

  • Own the design process from discovery through to delivery for web and mobile products.
  • Conduct user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design.
  • Translate user and business needs into intuitive, accessible, and production-ready design solutions.
  • Contribute to and help maintain design systems.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to support successful implementation.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly and participate in design reviews.
  • Incorporate feedback, run testing, and perform design QA to maintain quality.
  • Create documentation and handoff materials to support implementation.
  • Work independently across multiple projects while contributing to a collaborative design culture.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design work across web and/or mobile products.
  • Fluency in Figma, including component-based design, auto-layout, and design handoff.
  • Working knowledge of design systems; experience contributing to or building them is an advantage.
  • Solid foundations in user-centred design, including usability testing and user research synthesis.
  • Comfort using AI tools in the design workflow for prototyping, accessibility checking, and research synthesis.
  • Experience with Claude, Cursor, or similar tools is an advantage, and willingness to learn them is essential.
  • Clear English communication skills and comfort collaborating across time zones and cultures.
  • Sufficient technical literacy to run an application locally, navigate a codebase at a surface level, and submit a pull request.
  • A relevant degree is welcome, but an alternative path is equally valued.
  • Bonus: experience designing for development or social sector contexts, low digital literacy, or low-resource environments.
  • Bonus: familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
  • Bonus: experience working in agile or sprint-based product teams.
