Description

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications and backend services.
  • Own features end-to-end from discovery and scoping through implementation, deployment, and post-launch measurement.
  • Partner with product and business stakeholders to define hypotheses, evaluate trade-offs, and align on success metrics.
  • Design, implement, and measure A/B tests and experimentation initiatives using PostHog or similar platforms.
  • Build and maintain full-stack TypeScript applications using frameworks such as Astro and Vue.
  • Contribute to backend services in PHP using Laravel where applicable.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and work directly with relational databases outside of ORMs.
  • Work with cloud and edge infrastructure, including Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1, and AWS EKS.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and follow structured Git workflows.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and improve observability, reliability, and performance across the full stack.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
  • Conduct thoughtful code reviews and mentor early-stage engineers.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and code quality.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
  • Proven mid-senior or senior IC experience with full ownership of complex features.
  • Strong production-level proficiency in PHP or TypeScript.
  • Experience building, shipping, and maintaining scalable web applications used by real customers.
  • Deep experience with backend frameworks such as Laravel.
  • Strong command of modern JavaScript and TypeScript architecture and best practices.
  • Ability to write efficient SQL and optimize relational database performance without relying solely on an ORM.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating systems in AWS or Cloudflare environments.
  • Comfort working with containerized applications and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
  • Confidence using Git in collaborative environments, including branching strategies and structured code reviews.
  • Ability to ship features end-to-end, define measurable success criteria, and evaluate post-launch performance.
  • Strong communication skills for working with product and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in distributed, high-velocity teams.
  • Must have a working laptop/PC, internet connection, and backup connection.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the Philippines and maintain work authorization throughout employment.
  • Experience with experimentation tools such as PostHog is preferred.
  • Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools is preferred.
  • Experience with Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1, and AWS EKS is preferred.
