Description

  • Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform.
  • Support deployment, monitoring, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and services.
  • Develop and improve infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with engineering teams to streamline application releases and cloud operations.
  • Monitor production environments and assist with troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Improve cloud security, access controls, logging, monitoring, and operational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with distributed technical teams across different locations and time zones.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based applications and production environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Understanding of containers and technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or a similar language.
  • Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, networking, security, and access management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams.
  • Must be located in Hawaii.
  • Must be able to regularly work until approximately 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time.
  • Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, or Cloud Monitoring (preferred).
  • Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools (preferred).
  • Experience working with highly available or business-critical systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization, security best practices, or disaster recovery (preferred).
  • Google Cloud or other relevant cloud certifications (preferred).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and cannot require visa sponsorship.
