Description

  • Collaborate with the development team to implement new features, bug fixes, and product improvements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and secure code in JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, and related libraries.
  • Contribute to the full development lifecycle of UpdraftCentral.
  • Write inline documentation for code changes and new functionality.
  • Test code and produce testing guides for releases and updates.
  • Manage your own time to complete assigned tasks.
  • Research, debug, and resolve issues independently or with other developers and the support team.
  • Participate in architectural and coding-standard decisions as part of the product’s ongoing development.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
  • Strong experience with PHP.
  • Experience with WordPress plugin development or building solutions around WordPress.
  • Ability to work remotely with at least 4 hours of overlap with UK working hours per day.
  • Ability to choose your own hours up to 40 hours per week.
  • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or Git is preferred.
  • Experience with SVN or similar version control tools is a plus.
  • Experience with prefetching data and optimizing plugin performance is preferred.
  • Good developers should be able to learn the required version-control tools quickly if coming from alternatives.
