Description

  • Implement and manage the HR legal and regulatory compliance program.
  • Develop, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure legal alignment.
  • Advise management and leadership on compliance risks, regulatory obligations, and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct internal audits, reviews, and assessments to identify risks, weaknesses, and ethics issues.
  • Create corrective action plans and oversee remediation of audit findings and compliance violations.
  • Design and implement risk management strategies, internal controls, and improvements to compliance monitoring and enforcement.
  • Write, disseminate, and maintain compliance and ethics policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and operate compliance and ethics initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver employee training on compliance topics, reporting mechanisms, and regulatory updates.
  • Resolve employee concerns related to legal compliance and ethical matters while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6–8 years of experience in Human Resources, Compliance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide compliance programs.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and revising corporate policies and operating procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data, assess complex compliance risks, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting findings to senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CHRC, or CCEP is preferred.
  • Experience supporting compliance in government contracting or regulated industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ethics program management, whistleblower protection frameworks, data privacy, workplace investigations, or regulatory reporting is preferred.
