Description

  • Own business unit financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, margins, and cash flow.
  • Oversee multi-functional operations across the division and align execution with Air Force and Space Force mission priorities.
  • Establish and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Ensure portfolio program delivery meets cost, schedule, and technical execution targets.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies tied to customer mission needs and acquisition pathways.
  • Lead customer engagement with government stakeholders, mission owners, and industry partners.
  • Partner with Growth leadership on pipeline development, capture strategy, and priority pursuits.
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to align technology strategy and IRAD investments with customer demand.
  • Work with HR and Finance leadership on workforce planning, talent development, forecasting, and business unit health.
  • Drive margin expansion, risk mitigation, and compliance while providing executive-level performance reporting.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 18+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 16+ years of experience.
  • At least 6 years in progressively responsible management roles.
  • Demonstrated ownership of P&L for a business unit or large portfolio.
  • Experience operating within Department of Defense markets and understanding customers, programs, and acquisition pathways.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, pipeline, and performance metrics.
  • Experience driving growth through customer engagement, capture leadership, and successful execution of new awards.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and contract execution across cost-plus, time-and-materials, and fixed-price contracts.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong executive presence and experience engaging senior stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Preferred: prior leadership of a $50M+ to $100M+ business unit with full P&L responsibility.
  • Preferred: deep experience with Air Force and/or Space Force organizations and established customer relationships.
  • Preferred: experience in a private equity-backed environment focused on growth and EBITDA performance.
  • Preferred: background in technology-driven domains such as digital engineering, DevSecOps, data platforms, or mission systems.
  • Preferred: advanced degree such as an MBA or related master's degree.
