Description

  • Translate awarded scopes and vendor selections into executable contracts with clear scope definition, commercial terms, and contract structure.
  • Lead contract negotiations to align pricing structures, risk allocation, and commercial frameworks with project requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals from a commercial perspective to identify scope gaps, pricing inconsistencies, and risk exposure.
  • Structure agreements with clear inclusions, exclusions, cost drivers, and financial terms to support accurate project execution.
  • Partner with Construction and Preconstruction teams to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and contractually aligned.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Risk, and internal stakeholders to resolve commercial and contractual considerations.
  • Prepare and route agreements through internal approval workflows to support timely execution.
  • Provide real-time commercial guidance to site teams during vendor engagement and proposal review.
  • Coach site leads on scope clarity, vendor comparison, and commercial best practices to improve decision quality.
  • Promote consistent use of templates, playbooks, and standardized contracting approaches to improve efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in construction procurement, preconstruction, or commercial contracting.
  • Strong understanding of construction cost structures, contract frameworks, and risk allocation principles.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex commercial agreements in a project-based environment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Construction, and Operations teams.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and guide stakeholders without direct authority.
