Description

  • Lead a team developing performance testing frameworks and utilities to improve system scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in software applications and infrastructure.
  • Build system testing strategies, tools, and infrastructure to evaluate the reliability and resilience of the Sysdig platform.
  • Implement custom tooling for automated performance evaluations within the CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Conduct system performance analysis and provide optimization recommendations for cloud and container environments.
  • Participate in architectural design reviews to ensure performance considerations are built into new features.
  • Track projects effectively, maintain strategic direction, and drive initiatives forward while managing a team.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Manager or Technical Lead role.
  • 5+ years of experience with performance automation tools such as Locust, JMeter, or K6.
  • Programming experience in Python, Golang, or Java with a focus on performance tooling.
  • Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Demonstrated ability to use profiling tools to identify performance issues.
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global time zones.
  • Strong project tracking capabilities and experience managing a team.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Background in managing large-scale distributed systems and understanding network protocols and security (preferred).
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies in performance engineering (preferred).
  • Experience building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems (preferred).
