Description

  • Implement backend services and their interactions with data stores and third-party APIs.
  • Work in an agile environment on business-impacting projects.
  • Support reliable databases and APIs for real-time automated decision-making.
  • Deploy software using Kubernetes clusters, Lambda functions, and other industry-standard tooling.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues by analyzing code, data, and system behavior.
  • Propose and implement timely fixes to minimize user impact.
  • Build robust automated test suites to ensure high code quality and low failure rates.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and Architects to translate business requirements into high-quality code and deployments.
  • Care deeply about security and continuously improve protection for user data.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Practical knowledge of at least one relational database system such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Ability to discuss and make decisions regarding software design and architecture.
  • Experience implementing the test pyramid, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrated responsibility, accountability, and ownership in delivering high-quality work.
  • Good security practices.
  • Readiness to learn and expand your skill set as projects evolve.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Availability in the afternoons, with occasional evening meetings across time zones.
  • Experience with data analysis and BigQuery is a plus.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus is a plus.
  • Experience with Git, source control systems, and code reviews is a plus.
