Description

  • Build new user-facing features end-to-end, from database schema to UI components, with strong attention to detail.
  • Create scalable generic systems for workflows such as billing, document creation and storage, task management, and customer communication.
  • Optimize the GraphQL backend for performance so movers can complete jobs quickly.
  • Add real-time capabilities to notifications and customer communication features.
  • Work on the early-stage design system and help define how UI components are built at Supermove.
  • Open source shared frameworks used to build applications consistently and quickly.
  • Ship code and participate in code reviews.
  • Write architecture documents and prepare design handoffs.
  • Join product brainstorming, scoping, and design review sessions as desired.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience at a relevant tech, product-driven company.
  • 1-2 years of experience at an early-stage startup (Seed or Series A), preferred.
  • Experience with backend development using Python/Flask and GraphQL.
  • Experience with frontend development using React and React Native.
  • Understanding of relational databases and AWS services such as Lambdas.
  • Basic testing experience with end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
  • Curiosity, empathy, and a strong ability to understand the customer’s perspective.
  • Comfort with change and willingness to propose and lead improvements in a fast-moving startup.
  • Belief in the mission and interest in improving the moving experience.
