Description

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned clinical trial sites across Europe.
  • Oversee site performance from feasibility and selection through study closeout.
  • Recommend and engage sites based on indication, experience, capabilities, and local knowledge.
  • Support feasibility assessments, site selection, and early protocol feedback from sites.
  • Drive study start-up efficiency and accelerate site activation timelines.
  • Coordinate communication between Summit functions and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Participate in site visits, investigator meetings, and other study-related interactions.
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to improve recruitment and quality.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen site engagement, recruitment, and overall performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Clinical Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a scientific or medical discipline required.
  • Advanced degree (MSc, PharmD, or PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience in clinical research or related functions.
  • Extensive late-stage oncology clinical trial experience required.
  • Prior experience as a Senior Clinical Research Associate (SCRA) and/or Regional/Clinical Operations Manager within a CRO or sponsor organization highly desirable.
  • Proven experience managing multi-country clinical trials with strong operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of drug development processes and regulatory environments in Europe.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in Italian and English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within Europe and occasionally internationally.
  • Strong organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and influencing skills.
