Description

  • Execute strategic sourcing plans for designated categories, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and process efficiencies.
  • Lead supplier selection, assessment, and contract negotiation processes for allocated deals.
  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with Stripe’s policies and risk management protocols.
  • Deliver cost savings and spend-under-management goals, and implement process improvements to support those goals.
  • Evaluate the existing supplier base and identify rationalization and RFx opportunities with business teams and Finance.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing peers to develop enterprise-level procurement solutions and improve supplier management effectiveness.
  • Participate in short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.
  • Contribute to category strategy and the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for technology and SaaS procurement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect sourcing, procurement, category management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategic sourcing activities.
  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of achieving significant cost savings and supplier value without compromising quality or service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, including the ability to influence experienced business leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering successfully with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices (preferred).
  • Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented (preferred).
  • Comfort working in a rapid pace of change and matrixed functions, preferably in a fast-paced technology or financial services environment (preferred).
  • Understanding or experience with e-procurement tools and systems such as Zip, Workday Strategic Sourcing, or Oracle (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the fintech industry and its supply chain and procurement challenges (preferred).
  • Experience with software negotiations is required.
