Description

  • Design, develop, and own data pipelines, models, and products that support Product, Data Science, and GTM stakeholders.
  • Develop subject matter expertise and manage SLAs for data pipelines and full-stack web applications.
  • Build and refine data foundations infrastructure, pipelines, and internal tools using Scala, Spark, and Airflow.
  • Leverage LLMs and agents at scale to produce high-quality data for ambiguous problems.
  • Refine existing data marts used to forecast business performance and measure attainment toward targets.
  • Build data services that track key product metrics and measure the impact of field strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Product, Data Science, and GTM to solve data needs and improve stakeholder visibility.
  • Work across Stripe's stack, including Spark, Scala, Java, SQL, and Python.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a software engineering role focused on data services or data-intensive applications.
  • Strong engineering background with a clear interest in data.
  • Experience writing and debugging data pipelines using a distributed data framework such as Spark, Hadoop, or Pig.
  • Ability to investigate data inconsistencies, identify root causes, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Knowledge of a backend language such as Scala, Java, or Go, plus strong SQL experience.
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally, derive requirements, and architect shared datasets.
  • Experience creating and maintaining data marts to support business reporting needs, preferred.
  • Experience working with Product or GTM teams, preferred.
