Description

  • Apply accounting and finance expertise to identify and prototype high-impact AI opportunities for complex accounting challenges.
  • Build AI-powered tools and solutions that automate accounting workflows, strengthen controllership, and scale operations.
  • Design and deploy autonomous AI agents that can reason through multi-step problems and support decision-making within financial reporting controls.
  • Ship and maintain interactive data products and self-service analytics tools using SQL and Python frameworks.
  • Develop dashboards, data visualizations, and low-code applications that provide real-time insights and actionable intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and partner teams to identify efficiency opportunities and translate financial workflows into controlled technical solutions.
  • Document AI use cases and requirements for cross-functional implementation.
  • Partner with Accounting and SOX teams to assess and develop internal controls for AI-based accounting solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 4+ years in accounting-related or adjacent roles such as finance systems or process improvement.
  • B.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Finance Systems, or Information Systems.
  • Fluency in U.S. GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, CTEs, window functions, and joins.
  • Familiarity with modern data tools such as Python, Databricks, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines.
  • Experience coding with AI assistance and working with emerging AI/LLM tools, conversational interfaces, prompt engineering, automation platforms, or RPA.
  • Experience with internal controls design, implementation, and execution.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver impact in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the payments industry and fintech landscape (preferred).
