Description

  • Work with small, multi-disciplinary teams to architect, design, implement, and test RF hardware systems for sensing, electronic warfare, and signal processing applications.
  • Develop systems that are fielded as deployable prototypes and transition them toward low-volume product systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to define goals, performance objectives, requirements, metrics, dependencies, and risks.
  • Design, simulate, and test RF hardware systems with an emphasis on system integration, test, and verification.
  • Perform trade studies and performance analyses of proposed hardware architectures.
  • Conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate system performance.
  • Build, bench-test, integrate, calibrate, and demonstrate system performance.
  • Work with the signal processing team on sensing system test concepts and execution methods.
  • Plan and implement over-the-air system tests and demonstrations, including readiness evaluation, metric development, requirements verification, configuration management, and data management.
  • Prepare design specifications, drawings, test plans, operational procedures, and performance reports.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience working with RF components and subsystems, including T/R modules, rotary joints, pedestals, filters, radiating structures, isolators, amplifiers, cables, and ADC/DAC.
  • Design experience in RF systems, subsystems, and/or component analysis, including frequency planning, link budget analysis, transceiver architectures, and cascade analysis.
  • Experience with RF component, subsystem, or system test and measurement equipment and techniques, including anechoic chambers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or other higher-level languages.
  • Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience integrating hardware and software, software development, or integrating FPGAs.
  • Preferred: active Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Preferred: advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Preferred: experience with RF systems engineering and technologies in sensing and electronic warfare applications, including electronic attack, electronic protection, cognitive EW, radar, and advanced ESM techniques.
  • Preferred: prior design experience with antennas, RF printed circuit boards, RF integrated circuits, or transceiver building blocks such as power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, and filters.
