Description

  • Lead UX design for assigned areas of the Be The People platform.
  • Run discovery activities with the Product team, including user interviews, usability testing, and concept validation.
  • Design end-to-end journeys, page-level flows, and weekly content updates across the platform.
  • Partner with engineering to guide implementation and the evolution of the design system.
  • Apply content design judgment and collaborate with content owners on voice and clarity.
  • Contribute to design operations through patterns, documentation, and review rituals.
  • Drive an iterative, evidence-driven design culture that improves user experience.
  • Use user behavior insights to inform product and interface improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience on consumer-facing digital products.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating journey design, interface design, and content design.
  • Fluency in responsive/mobile design, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience running usability research and using user behavior analytics tools.
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into design decisions.
  • Fluency in Figma, modern design system practices, and rapid prototyping.
  • Track record of close partnership with engineering teams on iterative delivery.
  • Background in a startup, early-stage, or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools and practices to accelerate work.
  • Deep experience with accessible design principles and inclusive standards.
  • Experience with civic tech, advocacy platforms, or social impact digital products is preferred.
  • Workshop facilitation, design sprint experience, or voice-of-the-customer facilitation is preferred.
  • Growth or activation-focused design experience is preferred.
  • Motion/interaction design skills are preferred.
  • Behavioral design or persuasive design background is preferred.
