Description

  • Interview scholarship families and alumni to develop stories for publications, events, media outreach, and promotional materials.
  • Write blog posts, social media copy, and other communications content.
  • Assist in developing digital content for social media, email campaigns, videos, and other multimedia communications.
  • Conduct outreach to parents and alumni through surveys and follow-up calls.
  • Support alumni engagement initiatives, including survey administration and data management.
  • Organize and maintain digital assets such as testimonials, photos, videos, and interview materials.
  • Oversee digital cataloging of communications assets, including quotes, photographs, videos, and interviews.
  • Prepare monthly social media analytics reports and recommend ways to improve engagement and reach.
  • Track media coverage and maintain media contact lists.
  • Help plan and coordinate events such as National School Choice Week, alumni events, and partner events.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related fields, including internships.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including comfort conducting phone interviews and outreach.
  • Experience using content creation and design tools such as Canva and Adobe InDesign.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity and content creation tools such as ChatGPT or Canva AI.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who is collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, approximately 5%.
  • Interest in and commitment to CSF’s mission of expanding educational opportunity for children.
  • Preferred: experience working or interning in a nonprofit, education, policy, or mission-driven organization.
  • Preferred: familiarity with social media management tools, Meta Ads, and email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
  • Preferred: knowledge of SEO best practices, Google Analytics, and digital engagement metrics.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
