Description

  • Design and execute convenings, workshops, and activation touchpoints, from logistics and facilitation to follow-through.
  • Establish a regular cadence of community touchpoints that keeps members active and connected.
  • Own relationships with venues, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Document stories, connections, and insights from each gathering and share them back with the team and platform.
  • Manage and support online community circles, including setup, moderation, and member engagement.
  • Build leader-to-leader connections by making introductions and identifying common ground.
  • Support new leader onboarding and help them integrate into the BTP community.
  • Monitor community health, including attendance, referrals, and emerging leadership.
  • Work as the execution layer for activation strategy in partnership with the Senior Engagement Manager.
  • Coordinate with implementing partners and the other Community Manager on cross-track opportunities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing events or convenings for community, civic, or professional audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building instincts and the ability to create lasting connections.
  • Cross-cultural fluency and comfort working across diverse communities and cultural contexts.
  • Ability to manage multiple markets, timelines, and logistics streams simultaneously.
  • Genuine belief in the mission and commitment to the organization’s vision and culture.
  • Builder’s mindset with comfort working without a complete playbook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently for the regional track and regularly for the organizational track.
  • Experience in community organizing, civic engagement, or social movement contexts is preferred.
  • Experience working with national organizations and affiliate or chapter networks, or building local networks of nonprofit and business leaders, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience managing an online community using Circle or a similar platform, including permissions, moderation, events or courses, and analytics, is strongly preferred.
