Description

  • Answer and manage a high-volume multi-line VOIP phone system.
  • Greet patients and callers professionally and route calls to the appropriate department.
  • Take detailed messages and ensure timely delivery to the right staff members.
  • Handle patient inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and process cancellations and rescheduling requests.
  • Update provider schedules and ensure patients receive reminders and instructions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document patient communications in the EMR.
  • Support daily administrative workflows and assist providers and office staff with general administrative tasks.
  • Communicate with patients fluently in both English and Spanish.
  • Deliver a courteous, compassionate, and professional patient experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Administrative Assistant, Front Desk Coordinator, or Medical Scheduler.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency is required.
  • Experience working with a multi-line phone system.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and professional phone etiquette skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Quiet, professional home office setup.
  • Computer capable of supporting remote healthcare applications and a USB noise-canceling headset.
  • Experience with AccidentMate or OrganizedMED is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a multi-provider or enterprise medical practice is preferred.
  • Medical scheduling, appointment confirmation, patient intake, registration, and insurance verification experience are preferred.
