Description

  • Manage high-volume inbound and outbound patient calls with prompt, courteous, professional communication.
  • Complete new patient intake and update demographic and insurance information in real time.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments while optimizing provider calendars and reducing no-show rates.
  • Coordinate automated appointment reminders and maintain daily calendar efficiency.
  • Process, track, and follow up on prior authorization requests with insurance carriers.
  • Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and copays through insurance documentation and systems.
  • Route incoming and outgoing referrals and track completion status with external specialists and diagnostic sources.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document communication notes in the EMR.
  • Provide remote administrative support to on-site providers and assist with care coordination.
  • Serve as the primary virtual front-desk contact for patient communication and administrative workflow.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, or Healthcare Customer Service Representative in a busy specialty or primary care practice.
  • Flawless English communication skills with a clear, professional speaking voice.
  • Ability to listen quickly and communicate effectively with a fast-paced patient population.
  • Experience with Enable Healthcare EMR is highly preferred.
  • Comfort using virtual VOIP telephone platforms is required.
  • Direct experience processing prior authorizations, managing medical referrals, and handling insurance verifications.
  • Ability to work independently in a silent, distraction-free virtual home office.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is a strong advantage.
  • Female candidate preferred.
