Description

  • Contribute to detailed design and program architecture documentation.
  • Develop new web applications from initial design through delivery.
  • Write and maintain unit tests and support automated testing efforts.
  • Deploy code to staging environments and help resolve issues before launch.
  • Set up production servers and support website deployment and usage.
  • Provide on-site user training and direct production support after deployment.
  • Document user needs, design decisions, technology solutions, manuals, and executive summaries.
  • Update, maintain, and modify existing web applications and Java code.
  • Develop and test new Java features based on business requirements.
  • Debug issues, create patches, and implement Java migration policies and coding standards.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Java Web Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Strong experience with JEE/Java Web Development and JSF.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery scripting APIs.
  • Strong experience in database design, ERD, SQL queries, and JPA.
  • Experience developing SOAP web services.
  • Experience with IBM/HCL Portal.
  • Experience with automated testing and test-driven development is preferred.
  • Ability to train teammates on shared libraries and common development standards.
