Description

  • Design, build, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android.
  • Ensure mobile apps meet government requirements for security, privacy, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services into mobile experiences.
  • Translate customer and policy requirements into mobile-first product designs and implementations.
  • Work closely with UX designers to deliver intuitive and inclusive user experiences for public sector audiences.
  • Partner with customer delivery leads to support deployments, testing, and production operations.
  • Contribute to standards adoption by aligning mobile implementations with global digital identity protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance to public sector partners on mobile app deployment, security, and operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping production mobile apps for iOS and/or Android.
  • Proficiency in at least one mobile development stack: Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native.
  • Experience building backend services and APIs and integrating mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile security, including secure storage, authentication, and encryption practices.
  • Experience with low-level protocols such as Bluetooth or NFC.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices for mobile apps.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers, ideally in consulting or delivery contexts.
  • Based in the US and willing to engage directly with state government partners.
  • Experience delivering mobile solutions in public sector or other highly regulated environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of identity standards and protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, or mDL (mobile driver’s license) is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and mobile app deployment practices is preferred.

Benefits

  • $150,000 - $175,000 base salary per year.
  • Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses.
  • Additional compensation may include equity.
  • A benefits package is included.
  • Fully remote work within the US.
