Description

  • Set the vision for how product data science drives growth across acquisition and activation funnels.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and R&D leaders to refine and align the metric tree and measures of success.
  • Design and improve how the product data science team operates, including roles, rituals, and collaboration models.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists across multiple areas of R&D.
  • Build and maintain reusable experimentation and measurement frameworks, including hypotheses, guardrail metrics, and success criteria.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics and Analytics Engineering to implement core KPIs consistently in data models and documentation.
  • Identify high-value growth opportunities through experimentation, causal analysis, and behavioral analysis.
  • Translate analysis into actionable recommendations and support R&D teams in executing on them.
  • Help shape roadmaps and broader R&D strategy through data science partnership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics or data science, with a strong focus on product and/or growth for digital products.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring data scientists or product analysts, including performance management, career development, and hiring.
  • Deep experience using experimentation to drive growth, including hypothesis definition, KPI design, A/B testing, and result interpretation.
  • Experience owning and refining a metric tree or KPI hierarchy with stakeholder alignment on success measures.
  • Strong growth analysis skills, including acquisition and activation funnel analysis, cohort analysis, funnel analysis, and growth loops.
  • Experience applying modeling and causal inference, such as drivers analysis, uplift models, or propensity models.
  • Comfort with SQL and Python for data validation, technical review, and guidance.
  • Experience with a modern data stack, such as a cloud data warehouse, dbt, and BI tools like Looker.
  • Strong user and stakeholder empathy, with the ability to turn R&D needs into data science roadmaps.
  • Humble, highly motivated, and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Passion for Spring Health’s mission to remove barriers to mental health care.

  • Target base salary of $190,000 - $232,500.
