Description

  • Operate, scale, and modernize AWS infrastructure supporting uptime-driven production systems.
  • Design for fault tolerance, graceful degradation, and automated recovery across EC2- and ECS-based workloads.
  • Support the roadmap toward multi-region, globally distributed infrastructure.
  • Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, and related tooling.
  • Support and evolve CI/CD pipelines with a focus on reliability, speed, and developer autonomy.
  • Implement and maintain observability using Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, and related tools.
  • Define and monitor SLOs, improve alert quality, and reduce MTTD/MTTR through dashboards and runbooks.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and troubleshoot incidents under pressure.
  • Serve as an infrastructure security subject-matter expert and implement controls such as IAM, WAFs, DDoS protections, secrets management, and deployment safeguards.
  • Mentor engineers, communicate status and risks in an async-first environment, and own small-to-medium projects end-to-end.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure or systems engineering in a production environment.
  • Deep hands-on experience operating and scaling production systems in AWS, including ECS, EC2, ALB/ELB, ASG, IAM, VPC, and Secrets Manager.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience supporting highly available, uptime-sensitive systems with on-call responsibility.
  • Observability expertise with tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Linux systems experience with Debian- or RHEL-based distributions.
  • Exposure to or experience with multi-region cloud environments supporting global availability.
  • Experience with DevOps and/or GitOps and CI/CD methods.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration such as Nomad or Docker.
  • Infrastructure security experience such as WAFs, DDoS mitigation, and access controls.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as PCI, SOC 2, or HIPAA.
  • Proven ability to run projects end-to-end and deliver repeatable, maintainable solutions.
  • Experience in payments or other regulated industries is valued.
  • Familiarity with edge CDN-type services is valued.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the job location country and not require future sponsorship.
  • Background and reference check required for finalist candidates.
