Description

Collaborate with the Ads API and Data Store team to improve the API and data ecosystem across ingestion, consumption, transformation, and storage.
Maintain and evolve the Ads API and primary data store.
Work with engineering squads across Spotify to help them improve products through data solutions, knowledge, and education.
Improve operational excellence across the team and company.
Share technical knowledge and promote best practices.
Support the growth and development of other engineers.
Build and maintain backend services and APIs at scale.
Contribute to data availability, integrity, and performance for large-scale systems.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Java engineer working on backend services at scale.
Experience building and maintaining APIs at scale.
Some experience with data engineering using Scala.
Experience with design patterns, data structures, and distributed architecture.
Experience with observability and reliability practices.
Experience with engineering best practices and testing automation.
Ability to collaborate effectively and prioritize team success over individual success.
Experience with Spring, GCP, NextJS, or GraphQL is a plus.
Ability to work within North America and collaborate across Pacific, Australian, and Eastern time zones.

Base salary range of $132,949 to $189,927 plus equity.
