Description

  • Guide students through their academic day over video and help them stay focused and on task.
  • Mentor student-athletes on training habits, the mental game, recruiting, and balancing school with sport.
  • Build a steady, credible relationship that provides guidance, accountability, and honest feedback.
  • Support students in navigating the learning platform and working through challenging material.
  • Help students develop study habits and time-management skills.
  • Reinforce standards for effort, focus, and conduct, including giving direct feedback and earned praise.
  • Communicate clear, honest updates to parents and academy staff about academic progress and athlete development.

Requirements

  • Division I volleyball playing experience is required.
  • Experience working with young people in coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp counseling, teaching, or a similar hands-on role.
  • Strong judgment for working with young athletes, including earning trust, holding standards, and reading situations well.
  • Clear and steady communication skills, with comfort leading one-on-one video sessions and providing written updates.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to follow through on student needs.
  • Remote U.S.-based role with reliable internet and a quiet space for video sessions.
  • Recent college graduate experience is preferred.
  • Youth coaching or camp experience is preferred.
  • Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
  • Comfort working with video, learning platforms, and messaging tools is preferred.

Benefits

  • Pay of $25/hour.
