Description

  • Meet one-on-one with student-athletes over video during academic hours to keep them focused and on task.
  • Guide students through their learning pace and help them move through academic material efficiently.
  • Use Division I soccer experience to mentor students on training habits, competition mindset, recruiting, and balancing school with sport.
  • Build steady, credible relationships that provide guidance, accountability, and honest feedback.
  • Support students in navigating the learning platform and working through challenging material.
  • Help students develop study habits and time-management skills.
  • Reinforce expectations around effort, focus, and conduct, and provide direct feedback and praise as appropriate.
  • Communicate clear updates to parents and academy staff about academic progress, athletic development, and student needs.

Requirements

  • Division I soccer playing background.
  • Experience working with kids or young people in coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp counseling, teaching, or a similar role.
  • Ability to earn trust, hold standards, give direct feedback, and read student behavior effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for one-on-one video sessions and updates to parents and staff.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to follow through consistently.
  • Remote U.S.-based role with reliable internet and a quiet space for video sessions.
  • Recent graduate preferred, with recent college athletic experience.
  • Youth soccer coaching or camp experience preferred.
  • Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
  • Comfort with video, learning platforms, and messaging tools preferred.

Benefits

  • Pay of $25/hour.
