Description

  • Own major features in the Android app and deliver high-quality releases.
  • Work closely with design, product, and engineering teams on feature decisions and execution.
  • Shape the future direction of the Android team.
  • Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
  • Review pull requests and support teammates through code collaboration.
  • Handle critical issues and respond to unexpected technical challenges.
  • Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for QA.
  • Contribute to improving the app and codebase beyond the original product specification.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Strong product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing principles and how to write tests.
  • Rock-solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • User-oriented problem-solving approach.
  • Open-source Android project experience is a plus.
  • Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS is a plus.
