Description

  • Find new sources of audio data and integrate them into the ingestion pipeline.
  • Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline on GCP using Terraform.
  • Collaborate with scientists to improve the cost, throughput, and quality of dataset generation at scale.
  • Work with the AI team and Speechify leadership to help define the dataset roadmap for future consumer and enterprise products.
  • Support the collection of high-quality datasets for model training operations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure, engineering, and research efforts that enable petabyte-scale data building.
  • Adapt to changing priorities while handling multiple tasks across the data and AI workflow.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
  • Proficiency with bash and Python scripting in Linux environments.
  • Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
  • Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider, with GCP used by the team.
  • Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
