Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
  • Reduce scope where appropriate to accelerate customer feedback and product iteration.
  • Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Design and optimize abstractions and algorithms to improve performance and parsing.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs in Kotlin.
  • Build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that support Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Senior-level software engineering experience.
  • Systems thinking with an emphasis on end-to-end design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, evaluate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Ability to focus effectively in a busy, remote, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Kotlin Multiplatform experience; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
